Since its establishment in 1997, until September 2015, the Court of Final Appeal was located in the Former French Mission Building at 1 Battery Path.

In September 2015, the Court of Final Appeal relocated to 8 Jackson Road, a historic building which opened in 1912 as the former Supreme Court. This magnificent building is not just a fitting return home for the Judiciary, but is also a lasting and tangible symbol of Hong Kong’s rule of law.

This Report provides an overview of the major events of the Judiciary during 2015. It also provides statistics on caseload and waiting time for various levels of court, and information about the operation of the Judiciary.

We hope that you will find this Report useful and gain a better understanding of the work of the Judiciary.
