Access to Library
The Library's principal patrons are members of the Judiciary.
The members of the Hong Kong Bar Association, the Law Society of
Hong Kong and trainee solicitors may register for the use of the
Library free of charge through their respective Association/Society.
Foreign or corporate lawyers have to pay an annual fee of $530/-
per reader's card. A reader's card for law students is $110/- per
annum. Others who have valid reasons to use the Library' facilities
may apply for a reader's card at a fee of $220/- a year. All applications
for reader's cards are processed centrally at the High Court Library.
External reader's card holders may use the District Court Library
and the High Court Library only. They may use the Court of Final
Appeal Library for reference on the days when their cases are being
heard.
